The trekking stable run by Nina, Starhill Stable, has operated since 2001. We organize Icelandic horse terrain rides in Ravioskorpi in Sysmä all year round.
Adults and previously riding young people can choose a 1h, 1.5 or 2h trip. By agreement it is possible to arrange also other trips. For example a lean-to trip with sausages and campfire coffee. For the smallest of the family available 1/2h lead riding.
Icelandic horses are sure-footed and steady movers. With the exception of Vinda and Helga all our trekking horses are the stable’s own breeding and have travelled their whole life in familiar terrains. That enables also a beginner to participate in our trips. As the guide on trips acts most often the hostess of the farm Nina, who has experience of leading trips for over 20 years. So even the paths are starting to be quite familiar:).
Group size in winter 3 persons, in summer 5 persons. Weight limit for trips is 90 kg.
